With each day passing the temperature across the regions in India is gradually increasing. Many people would have already started looking for places to spend their summers. People some times do ask me which are the places in India they can plan to spend their summer days. So, here I am suggesting the five places you can enjoy into the natures abode away from the scorching heat and daily chores.
Kashmir: The heavenly abode
Kashmir is top of my list as the place is incredibly beautiful. This Himalayan region has all that a tourist would like while his visit. Well, may time people do ask me if its safe to visit the valley of Kashmir. I would say its totally safe and secure to visit Kashmir and you would never regret your decision of travelling g to this land of saints. The lush green mountains, mesmerising waterfalls and the humbleness of people would be your life long experience. Don’t forget to have Wazwan, the local delicacy.
Shimla: Summer capital of British India
During the British rule in India the Shimla used to be the summer capital the reason being its pleasant temperature and the beautiful scenic view. British are no more cling India but this Himalayan region is still being ruled by the natures blessings. Shimla can also be one of the best places to plan your summer vacation. From Shimla one can also plane to go further Kullu Manali.
Mussoorie: a hill station in Dehradun
On my bucket list the other place one can plan to visit would be Mussoorie. The places is blessed with natural waterfalls and is just 290 kms from the capital city New Delhi. The weather remains pleasant during the summers and tourist all across India especially from the northern Indian throng to this hill station. To extent your visit one can further plan to go on a Lal Tibba trekking. lal Tibba is just 6 kms from Mussoorie and one of the most stunning view point in Uttarakhand rising to a height of 2,275 meters (7,164 feet).
Ooti: A must visit place in South India
Surrounded by green trees and a big artificial lake in the centre Ooti is one of the must visited touristic places in South India. This hill station in the northern state of Tamil Naidu is 86 km north of Coimbatore and is the capital of the Nilgiris district. This tourist town is also on my bucket list this summer. One can plan to visit near by Elk Hill, the Rose Garden and further the tour can be extended to Coimbatore which is just 52 kms from Ooti.
Munnar: Explore tea gardens of Kerala
Munnar can be one more place one can plant to visit this summer. It is one of the most popular and beautiful hill stations in South India. Settled in the Western Ghats with its lush green tea gardens, hypnotising waterfall and scenic hills. One can make the journey to Munnar an adventure by taking a road trip from Cochin. Its 125 kms from Cochin airport and 110 kms from Aluva railway station.
